Plan(et) B
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
A weird and ironic experience that forces the player to embody consumerism at its fullest. Push colorful bubbles, create a perfect miniature world, bring it to ruin… discard it, repeat!
You can download the game safely even if it's being quarantined until itch's staff manually checks it. This is not a scam.
Yeah, we know that this is exactly what a scammer would say, except we are not scammers. And a true scammer would not say this!
Or they would if they are really good scammers, very Machiavellian and wily, but if we were scammers, which we are not, we would be more of the dumb and obvious kind. The kind that does not write this warning.
Gameplay & Narrative:
The player interacts with a fidget toy from the far future: a bubble-pop Controller that displays a variety of commands linked to bubble-shaped buttons.
The controller is connected to a spherical Diorama containing a micro-world. The toy is an educational experience designed for toddlers, that aims to explain how things worked back in the day, when humanity still lived in the Homeland.
Each button on the controller is single-use. Once popped, it triggers an effect in the Diorama (usually by dropping in a new element).
Each element in the Diorama is physics-based and has several properties, that trigger automatically or in response to certain events.
Game Over:
The micro-world inside the Diorama can easily degenerate into an Apocalypse. When this happens the bubble pops, and all elements inside fall to the ground.
A new Diorama is automatically attached to the toy and the Controller resets. It’s time to start anew!
The player can voluntarily pop the Diorama at any time by pressing the Reset button on the Fidget Toy.
